Teacher Me was founded by April Bow, an educator who saw first-hand that the traditional education model wasn’t keeping pace with the realities of modern families, teachers or learners.

After years in and around schools, April noticed a growing gap: students falling behind due to attendance issues, anxiety, neurodivergence, illness, or simply needing a different pace — while qualified teachers were burning out under rigid systems that left little room for flexibility or innovation. The problem wasn’t a lack of capability or care. It was access.

Teacher Me was created to bridge that gap.

The why is simple: every student deserves access to high-quality teaching in a way that works for them— and every teacher deserves flexible, meaningful work that values their expertise.

The mission of Teacher Me is to redefine how education is accessed by connecting students and families with qualified teachers through an on-demand, flexible learning platform. The web app is designed to support diverse learners, reduce learning gaps, and empower teachers to teach beyond the limits of the traditional classroom.

At its core, Teacher Me exists to make education more human, more adaptable, and more equitable— meeting learners where they are, not where the system expects them to be.
